When you start trying to conceive, you're opened to a whole new world of abbreviations and lingo. Goodbye LOL (laugh out loud), hello DPO (days past ovulation). For a lot of us, the first month is spent searching every possible symptom in hopes that someone will respond saying they had the same symptoms and are now pregnant. The other half is spent looking up what this abbreviation might mean (okay maybe not that bad). So to help you out, here's a lowdown on some of the basic mommy-to-be lingo:
AF: Aunt flo
BD: Baby dance (sexual intercourse)
BFN/BFP: Big fat negative/big fat positive (pregnancy test)
CD: Cycle day
CM: Cervical mucus
DPO: Days past ovulation
TTC: Trying to conceive
DH/DS/DD: Dear (husband, son, daughter)

If you want to know ALL the abbreviations, click here for a full list, thank's to Baby Center!
